Today is Nuzul Al-Quran, a holiday that commemorates the day when the words of the Quran were
revealed to the Prophet Muhammad. It is a holiday here in Malaysia, so no classes today.
We used the opportunity to explore Kuala Lumpur! We went to Batu Caves (home of sacred Hindu
temples), the Twin Petronas Towers, Chinatown and the central market, in addition to a few other
sightseeing spots.
On the way back to our residence we stopped by Taylor’s University to talk to and get a tour from
a former Otemon student. He’s making robots and has succeeded in vastly improving his English skills.
It was informative and inspiring to hear what he had to say. We asked loads of questions and
learned about another great school, here in Malaysia!

今日はNuzul Al-Quranというイスラム教の聖典が公開されたのを記念すべき日で祝日で授業は
ありませんでした。そこでクアラルンプールのさまざまな観光スポットを訪れました。
帰り道にはTaylor’s Universityに立ち寄り追手門の卒業生と話をしました。彼はロボットを作っていて
英語力もかなりのもの。たくさん質問をして、いい刺激を受けたようです。
マレーシアでのまた別の素晴らしい大学について知ることができました。
