【School Trip to Hawaii】
Day6morning
Another great day today! Students are improving their English skills and learning so much about Hawaiian society and the environment here. In the morning we continued our intensive English lessons. We continued to work on key phrases that will be used in our speeches tomorrow. Our teacher is always encouraging us to use complete sentences. It was difficult but fun to complete each other's sentences. There were a lot of interesting sentences. We also learned about life in Hawaii for the first Japanese immigrants. We watched a series of short English videos describing the hard life in the sugarcane fields. We picked up some Hawaiian words such as "kiki" (child) and "hana" (work). We are nervous but looking forward to the speeches tomorrow.
